The Queen (The Original Sinners: White Years #4), by Tiffany Reisz

Once upon a time, Nora and Søren made a fateful deal—if he gave her everything, she would give him forever.
The time has finally come to keep their promises.
Out of money and out of options after her year-long exile, Eleanor Schreiber agrees to join forces with Kingsley Edge, the king of kink. After her first taste of power as a Dominant, Eleanor buries her old submissive self and transforms into Mistress Nora, the Red Queen. With the help of a mysterious young man with a job even more illicit than her own, Nora squares off against a cunning rival in her quest to become the most respected, the most feared Dominatrix in the Underground.
While new lovers and the sweet taste of freedom intoxicate Nora, she is tempted time and time again by Søren, her only love and the one man who refuses to bow to her. But when Søren accepts a new church assignment in a dangerous country, she must make an agonizing choice—will the queen keep her throne and let her lover go, or trade in her crown for Søren's collar?
With a shattering final confession, the last link in the chain is forged in The Original Sinners saga. It's the closing chapter in a story of salvation, sacrifice and the multitude of scars we collect in the name of ecstasy—and love.
The Queen, by Tiffany Reisz, is one of the best books I have read in 2015.  One day, I am going to reread The Original Sinners, The Red Years and The White Years, because I will never say goodbye to this amazing family of characters.  I'm wondering, however, what Ms. Reisz has in store for us next. The Queen is a stellar conclusion to this series, though in my opinion, there is always room for more when it comes to Søren, Kingsley, Nora and the rest of the underground community. These books should be read in order, but that is no cause for worry because each one is fantastic!
The Queen is the story of Eleanor Schreiber and her transformation into Nora Suth ,dominatrix and the queen of the Underground.  It’s a continuation and conclusion, a love story of forbidden and undying  love. Reisz gives us emotional depth, humor and brilliant writing, which is evident by how elegantly Reisz concludes the series.
The story unfolds beginning with the group of friends, the freaks...the sinners, namely Søren, Nora and Kingsley together during a special occasion, and then the true journey begins with Nora’s confession to Søren, “‘Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned,’” she began her confession. “‘When we were apart there were two times I almost came back to you and didn’t.’”
Nora loved Søren, and so upon his request, she tells him why she didn’t come back.  It’s a great story, and I don’t want to give too much away.  These are just a few quotes from The Queen to help demonstrate why I love Reisz’s writing-
“What was a sacrament but the outward sign of inner grace?”

“Kingsley, Griffin and Søren all wore kilts.”
“Søren’s kilt was black and blue, the traditional clergy tartan of Scotland and bruises.”
“Søren was a man of quiet depth, as if he kept a secret second heart locked away in a glass case.”

“I knew you were either going to grow up to be a dominatrix...or a sociopath.”

“This is a new life I’m living.  I am reborn.  And all babies cry when they’re born.”

“Romance whispers sweet nothings.  Love tells painful truths.  Romance gives an engagement ring.  Love takes a bullet.”
“She did love his face, the sharp planes of his chin and jaw, the sculpted lips, the gunmetal gray eyes that saw everything and revealed nothing.”

I highly recommend The Queen to anyone that reads romance and erotica.  Reisz is a masterful writer, with a great sense of humor.

*from authors website on reading order*

I have so many novellas and free stories that it can get confusing. Let me clear things up. Note, you do not have to read the books in this order. This is merely my suggested order.

#1- The Siren - full-length novel (always read this first before anything else)

#2- Griffin in Wonderland and Little Red Riding Crop - free reads on the blog

#3- The Angel - full-length novel

#4 - Seven Day Loan/The Gift - eBook novella (Amazon, BN, eHarlequin, Sony , etc)

#5- The Prince - full-length novel

#6- Daniel Part 2 & A Christmas Maggie - free reads on the blog

#7- Submit to Desire & Immersed in Pleasure - eBook novella (Amazon, BN, eHarlequin, Sony , etc)

#8- Every other free read in any order that turns you on. You'll want to read The Mitzvah and The Teacher before The Mistress (full-length novel #4) comes out so you can get to know Grace Easton better as she is one of the main characters in that book.

#9- The Mistress - full-length novel

We good? As long as you read The Siren, The Angel, The Prince in that order, you'll be fine. This reading order for the rest of the series' stories is simply my suggestion. The only wrong way to read The Original Sinners is to not read them at all (PS It's also grammatically correct in English to JOYFULLY split infinitives. Grammar Nazis can suck it).

Tiffany Reisz lives in Portland, Oregon with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name.

When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).

THE SIREN was awarded the RT Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Erotic Romance 2012.

If she couldn’t write, she would die.
