Lovelines - S. Walden

Il 25 Marzo 2014 è finalmente uscito il nuovo libro di una delle mie scrittrici preferite : Lovelines di S. Walden!!! Vi avevo già dato un pò di informazioni in un precedente post ( ecco il Link per chi se lo fosse perso  !! oppure cercate S. Walden tra le Etichette ) 

Non ho ancora avuto modo di leggerlo quindi non posso farne una recensione accurata ma ve lo consiglio ad occhi chiusi!! Scrive in un inglese semplice (potete constatarlo voi stesse dagli estratti del libro gentilmente forniti dalla autrice!) quindi si presta a ogni tipo di lettrice.In questa storia d'amore si parla di un argomento molto delicato e sfortunatamente molto comune tra le persone OCD ( obsessive-compulsive disorder ), è stato affrontato con cura e delicatezza dalla scrittrice. Ha pubblicato un  Post sul suo blog molto interessate che vi invito a leggere, vi darà un'idea con quanta serietà lavori questa autrice.

Ecco un pò di teasers per prepararci a quello che sarà la lettura di questo romanzo!! Io personalmente non vedo l'ora di immergermi in questo nuovo capolavoro!!!!

Si tratta di un libro molto divertente la cui storia d'amore ha un contesto un pò diverso dal solito ma sempre suggestivo per noi inguaribile romantiche figlie degli anni 80 dove il rock e roll aveva un fascino irresistibile! Dal punto di vista dell'inglese, non ritengo sia una sfida per le principianti,  la trama è molto semplice , i dialoghi rendono la lettura scorrevole. Accessibile a tutte !

Evelyn Thomas, è una ragazza a modo, studiosa e composta. Non era però preparata alla situazione che le si presentava davanti il mattino dopo la sbronza colossale a Las Vegas. Per il suo 21esimo compleanno, insieme alla sua amica Lauren, avevano deciso di evadere e lasciarsi andare. Missione compiuta!

Evelyn si sveglia in una stanza d'albergo, che non ricorda di aver prenotato, sul pavimento del bagno, ma non sa come ci sia arrivata, di fianco ad un super sexy ragazzo senza maglietta ricoperto di tatuaggi, che non ha mai visto prima, con un gigantesco diamante al dito di cui non ha assolutamente idea come ne è entrata in possesso.....

Era la canzone che mi suonava nella mente mentre leggevo questo libro! Hearts in Darkness di Laura Kaye è un libro che appartiene ad un genere di profondo romance che sfocia leggermente nell'erotica,l'inglese è semplice quindi si tratta di una lettura facile facile!!!!

Analizziamo un momento il titolo: letteralmente significa cuori nell'oscurità. La storia si svolge, per buona parte del romanzo, dentro un ascensore. Makenna ha terminato la sua giornata di lavoro e sta freneticamente entrando in ascensore non guardando dove sta andando o chi le sta intorno, i suoi occhi sono fissi sul cellulare. Alza distrattamente lo sguardo e ha solo una frazione di secondo per rendersi conto che non è da sola mentre le luci si spengono e l'ascensore si blocca.

Un paio di informazioni al volo:
La trama è abbastanza coinvolgente, il livello di difficoltà dell'inglese è basso, personalmente non l'ho trovato molto scorrevole ma il libro è breve quindi non risulta pesante. Ammetto di averlo letto di fretta e non sono stata molto presa dalla storia ma tutto sommato l'ho trovato sufficientemente gradevole. Considerando l'offerta, lo consiglio !!!

A little personal anecdote on this book:

11.00 pm, I was in bed reading, almost at the end of the book, my husband next to me watching tv. I was very relaxed because I was getting how the book would end....then I finished it. In that moment I was rushing out of the bed saying very loud, and very inappropriate considering how late it was, " what the f**k??" my hubby looked at me like I was crazy so I told him all about this book!!! Poor guy...he listened but he did give it a damn...he's the sweetest!

That was a warning about this author!! when you think is all predictable...she changes it all!! she's amazing that's why she's in my top 5 !!!

This is a vague idea of Twitch's personality!!! He obviously has some major issuses. His life was so brutal it changed him completely but he found his way and very proud of it. He feels he misses something and mistakes it with vengence. His vicious anger makes him take some really bad decisions. In the end he only wants to be loved for what he is, don't we all??

This is an erotic/romace novel. Please don't mistake it for a cheesy chick flick story - boy meets girl,they fall in love and do it a loooot everywhere in every position, declaring how crazy are about each other!

Sex is present....very present....some like it hot or sweet or rough or kinky....we are not born with tastes, we find them during that trip called life and it could be we find  we like it very kinky!!!!!

Quante volte vi è capitato di uscire con le vostre amiche, andare a fare shopping insieme, chiacchierare con loro tra i banchi di scuola, mangiare un panino al fast food....e all'improvviso rendersi conto di essere quella con qualche kg in più, la meno carina, quella non vestita alla moda e con poco trucco sul viso??

L'età della crescita non perdona e tanto meno i propri coetanei...soprattutto se sono maschi e magari super carini e circondati sempre da belle ragazze, ogni giorno una diversa. Peggio ancora se si viene avvicinati da un ragazzo simile ed è lui stesso a chiedere di stare al suo gioco e chiacchierare perché così facendo le amiche carine saranno commosse dal suo "pietoso" gesto di parlare con la bruttina o per meglio dire THE DUFF. Nel dettaglio, sarebbe la ragazza meno attraente di tutti, che i maschi considerano per ultima ( se si accorgono di lei ) e che rimane in disparte mentre le altre si divertono a ballare nei locali.

Non posso nemmeno immaginare l'umiliazione di sentirsi chiamare cosi ma è quello che succede in questo libro a Bianca Piper dal "womanizer"  Wesley Rush. Siccome la nostra protagonista ha un carattere tosto, la sua reazione è quella di rovesciargli addosso un bicchere di Cherry Coke lasciandolo così a bocca aperta

“You're a disgusting, shallow, womanizing jackass, and I hope that soda stains your preppy little shirt." Just before I marched away, I looked over my shoulder and added, "And my name isn't Duffy. it's Bianca. we've been in the same homeroom since middle school, you selfabsorbed son of a bitch.” ( un applauso per Bianca!!). Frequentando la stessa High School e lo stesso locale, gli incontri sono frequenti e poco piacevoli.“Spanish, huh?" he said, glancing down at the scattered papers as he grabbed them. "Can you say anything interesting?""El tono de tu voz hace que queria estrangularme." I stood up and waited for him to hand over my papers."That sounds sexy," he said, getting to his feet and handing me the stack of Spanish work he'd swept together. "What's it mean?"

First of all, I want to thank Mrs Amelia Hitchins and  "For the love of books" girls who provided me my ARC ( advance review copy ), they have been very nice to me and this is a great honor.
I seriously loved this book!!! This series is amazing and cherished very much all of it. do you need to refresh your memory? here's the link for the first and second book .
The author confirms her ability to surprise me keeping this story intriguing and exciting. I really don't want spoiler anything here...so I just write that for Syn and Ryder things are getting a little bit more complicated!!! Some secrets are discovered but some shadows still remain. when everything seems settled for them to start living their life together, growing a relationship, exploring what they feel for each other...some accidents happen and drift them apart. This is not an easy journey for them, suffer and pain are always to be found but this is a strong couple, they match and they have the same goals and want to fight together.
Syn is a warrion princess, she fights and loves with every cell of her body and heart, she beared a lot of troubles, her life changed suddenly and she's trying very hard to adjust. She wants to do the right thing but not sacrifice her heart. Her funny spirit never falter though!!
Ryder is an awesome male alpha character, at first sight he may seem shallow and selfish but he fights for what is important for him and Faery...his methods are peculiar but he get results, his army respect him and he knows his people depend on him. Big applause for the sex scenes!!! damn, this author knows what she's doing ;-)
Love, anger, passion, betrayal, lust and magic!!! you can find that in this book and so much more!!!

Beauty and the Beast. A wonderful story, a delicate sweet-dreams fairy tale. This is not the case of Entreat Me by Grace Draven. Foget the disney movie with dancing tea cups and all the singing stuff, this book is not for children at all. This story has been abused lately, a tv-show, a movie ( Vincent Cassel....come.on.!!) but please don't misunderstand it for a commercial pretext. This self-publishing author is not following the flow, she is writing in spite of it hoping we could appreciate it, I really did and hope you do too.
