The third installment of the Indebted series, was all-consuming. This is an awesomely intense read, full of questions, anxiety, and forbidden lust.

At the end of First Debt, Nila had found out one of the mysteries we've been dying for: Who the hell is Kite007? She needs to figure out how to use this information to help out her situation.

Debole. Ecco cos’era. Aveva ceduto, di nuovo. Si era sentito così triste, così solo senza Sean. Aveva allungato la mano e lei era lì, pronta per lui. Smettere di bere era stata una passeggiata in confronto. L’alcolismo era una dipendenza da dilettanti se paragonata a quella per la musica. E quella sera il dolore ed il bisogno erano stati troppo forti e lui aveva ceduto. 

Quando le sue dita avevano toccato le corde della chitarra qualcosa dentro di lui si era sciolto e la morsa in cui era avvolto il suo cuore si era leggermente allentata. Una volta che aveva iniziato a cantare era come se Sean fosse lì, accanto a lui. Aveva chiuso gli occhi ed immaginato i suoi occhi d’argento che lo seguivano, che sapevano apprezzare a pieno le note, la melodia. Nel momento in cui si era aspettato il suono del suo violino l’incantesimo si era spezzato e così aveva suonato “Whole”. Sean non avrebbe mai potuto sentirla, il suo sguardo d’apprezzamento non l’avrebbe mai raggiunto, ma lì, fra quelle note e quelle parole, era racchiuso tutto il suo amore e la sua perdita. Per un attimo era riuscito a sfogare tutto quello che aveva dentro, un attimo di lucidità in cui sapeva di essere rimasto solo, ma cercava di accettarlo. Ma poi la canzone era finita, il dolore era tornato e le lacrime avevano iniziato a scorrere sulle sue guance. Così aveva stretto al petto la sua chitarra e aveva perso il controllo. Quando era finalmente tornato in sé si era dato dell’idiota e del debole. Cosa diavolo sarebbe potuto succedere se gli altri l’avessero visto in quello stato? Come minimo gli avrebbero dato della checca e l’avrebbero gonfiato di botte. La prossima volta sarebbe dovuto stare più attento, ma no una prossima volta non ci sarebbe dovuta essere. Quando era morto Sean, Rhys aveva rinunciato alla musica, se non poteva suonare con lui non l’avrebbe più fatto. Ma non era stato assolutamente così facile. Prima si era attaccato alla bottiglia fino quasi a spappolarsi il fegato poi, pian piano, era subentrata la rassegnazione. C’erano sere però, come quella, che la tentazione era solamente troppo forte. Ne avrebbe pagato le conseguenze per giorni, se non settimane. Con quel pensiero in testa prese il rasoio e si tagliò la coscia.

Oltre ad essere una blogger chi sei nella vita di tutti i giorni?  

Una figlia rompiscatole; una ragazza altrettanto rompiscatole e un'amica splendida! (Qualche pregio ci vuole, no?) 

Come mai hai deciso di ritagliarti il tuo angolo virtuale? Parlaci del tuo rifugio, quali sono gli argomenti che tratti?  

Una mia cara amica mi ha ispirato. 

Una sera su Skype, durante una chiacchierata di ore, cominciò a parlarmi del suo blog. La passione che ci metteva era unica ed entusiasmava anche me. 

Mi sono detta 'perché non provare?' 

Tratto gli argomenti che più mi appassionano, le storie che amo leggere e quelle che attirano di più la mia attenzione. Romance, paranormale romance, adult e young adult. Mi capita di parlare di grandi classici, quelli che a scuola più o meno tutti hanno odiato e che poi si sono ritrovati tra le mani in una maniera o nell'altra tempi dopo. Di questi non faccio recensioni, nonostante mi piacciano molto. 

Dei romanzi che leggo mi piace moltissimo confrontarmi anche con gli autori stessi che ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare di persona alcune volte. Spesso e volentieri li intervisto perché mi piace andare a fondo, scoprire chi c'è dietro quella storia che voglio leggere o che mi ha già conquistato. Ho avuto la fortuna addirittura di intervistare uno degli autori che più amo e che seguo ormai da anni, Marc Levy (se volete leggere l'intervista andate nella sezione 'interviste' del mio blog) Ricordo che quando mi arrivò la mail in cui accettava la mia proposta di intervista avevo il cuore a mille! 

Perché le persone dovrebbero diventare tuoi lettori fissi? 

Perché hanno voglia di confrontarsi. Come ho sempre detto amo il confronto, in particolare su una passione come la lettura! 

Quali sono i tuoi sogni nel cassetto?  

Riuscire ad intervistare Chuck Palahniuk. Adoro lo stile di questo autore e avere una sua intervista proprio qui, su Beira's Heart sarebbe per me un sogno che si realizza. (Chuck, batti un colpo!) 

Vuoi fare un augurio speciale agli altri membri della League? 

Solo chi ha un blog capisce davvero l'impegno e l'amore che si mette per questa attività. Un'attività che ti fa svegliare con il pensiero “Cavolo! Devo fare quel post!”. Che ti fa passare ore al pc e ti fa fare progetti su questo o quel libro. Chi non ha mai avuto un attimo di cedimento e ha detto “Basta, ora chiudo. Non ce la faccio più” Credo tutti. 

Faccio un augurio a chi di questa Blogger League, un blog ce l'ha già da anni e che possa il loro lavoro continuare ancora per tanto, tanto tempo con splendide letture! 

E a chi invece un blog ce l'ha da poco? Sarà difficile all'inizio ma basta essere pazienti perché le soddisfazioni arriveranno e saranno tantissime. Un augurio quindi a tutti i partecipanti di questa iniziativa che sta dando la possibilità di conoscerci meglio.
