The marked men, Miiiiiiss Jay Crooownoveeer !

1. Is Cora's character based on you or at least some of your quirks or has some of you personality traits?

Not at all. Lol...we're both bossy and protective but I think that's where the similarities end. She is a tiny tour de' force...I'm not tiny and I actually know when to mind my own business.

2. How do you pick the names of your characters? From people you know or you just think of what would fit the character?

They just come to me. Sometimes they have a deeper meaning than I go into in the books but most of the time I just think that sounds cool and it would fit...Like Saint...she was so sweet, so soft and so caring....she really seemed like a Saint to me. But I've never met a Rule or a Rome in real life so they def. aren't based on actual people.

3. What would you think of movies based on your novels? Is something you would like? If the answer is yes, then what actor would you see impersonating your characters?

My job is to write books not make movies so I always think if a perfect deal came along I could get on board with it but there isn't really anyone I see as my characters. They all have such a unique look to them I think if they ever made it to the big screen casting would be very-very difficult.

4. How did you decide to write NA? Was it a conscious choice or something that came naturally? Is this a genre you like better?

I love N/A. It's my favorite to write and my favorite to read. when I started writing N/A seemed like the natural genre to write in because it was new, it was unexplored, there were few rules and that was the age of the characters I was writing. I hate rules and regulation so in it's infancy N/A and I were a perfect fit...now I'm leaning more towards contemporary stories but I think that's also a natural progression of my writing style.

5. Is there one of your books you feel more attached to and why?

Asa because I spent 5 books watching him redeem himself and turn himself into a man that deserved love and forgiveness. I loved him and hated him with equal passion and telling his story was a challenge. I love a challenge so he's the one that stuck.

6. Do you listen to music while writing? Favourite artists? favourite songs of your characters in the marked men series?

Yes I do. All my books have very carefully picked out playlists at the back and they all have links on Spotify that readers can follow and listen to. All the songs that are favorites and fit the MM are listed both in the book and on Spotify.

7. If you could gift a book to a young woman trying to write her first book, what would you pick?

I would pick a book in the genre she wants to write in. One of my biggest pet peeves is when an author doesn't read the same kind of books she writes...I think that's foolish and not good business sense.

R: Loro semplicemente vengono da me .
