MC Chronicles: The Diary of Bink Cummings: Vol 1 (MC Chronicles #1) - Bink Cummings

I'm a biker, and I'm a woman, who was raised by my biker family the Sacred Sinners.

Growing up an MC brat, I've known nothing but leather, booze, club whores, comradery, and bikes, my entire life.

My name is Eva "Bink" Cummings, and this is my story.

How at the ripe old age of thirty, with no husband, no kids, and being a part of a motorcycle club. Things aren't always what they appear to be. I've found out the hard way, that your life, in an instant, can be flipped upside down. And the people you know and love aren't always what they seem.

Steamy Adult romance
Warning: Contains Mature scenarios, and mass quantities of profanity. For Ages 18+

This is not a Stand Alone, Vol 2 will be released Feb 2015.

- Welcome to the Dark Side- We Didn't Lie about the Cookies-

Bink grew up in a motorcycle club, I do not mean just being around the club but she had a room she lived in. Her father was the vise president of the club and her brothers were all patched members. She was special and off limits to anyone in the club. She had seen it all, everything they teach you not to do in school ‘don’t do drugs’ or ‘safe sex’ was different for her cause she saw it on a daily bases. Her mother would have nothing to do with her; she was the black sheep of the family.
The club members and their old ladies were her family. She took care of them as she got older, cooking, cleaning and even patching them up after a fight. Even though she was not anyone’s old lady or a patched member she ranked higher than the other females being called “Queen” of the club.

Big Dick was the clubs president; he came by his name honestly. He and Bink pushed each others buttons quite often. Bink was also the one they called when Big was angry, she had a way to calm him like no other. Big took care of Bink since she was young as did all the other brothers in the club. Big was a real big part of her life for as long as she could remember.

Her father was on a run with her brothers. The club was having a party for out of town charter members who wanted to transfer. So she and the other old ladies had to cook for the club. That was when Big really started to show and act strange with Bink. Things started to get hot and heated between the two in every way.

The club goes on lockdown; Bink is in charge of keeping everything together with the old ladies and whores. Bink learns there is some really big news that is going to happen after Big’s birthday. When she finds out early the news that will happen, she has mixed feelings abut it. When she decides what she wants she goes to tell Big only for things to blow up in her face. So she makes a really big decisions on what she is going to do in her life.

What is that decision and how will it affect her future? You can always read her next book MC Chronicles Keep a Look Out Bink Cummings Vol. 2. It is up for pre-order on Amazon which will be live February 2nd 2015.

I have read a lot of Motorcycle club books and this one is far by my favorite (so far). Bink Cummings is writing about her own experiences, which can always make a book good. She recognizes the Sacred Sisters for giving her the courage to write her story. I think I will say Thank you to them too. I recommend this book to everyone. I will tell you again this is my opinion, everyone who does reviews do them as their own opinion. You would have to read the book to come up with your own decision if you like it or not.

Dirty Ties - Pam Godwin

Revenge.
I race to finance it.
I evade to protect it.
I kill to attain it.
I planned everything.

Except her.
The alluring, curvaceous blonde at the finish line.
With sapphire eyes that cheat and lie.
Whose powerful family murdered mine.

I hate her.
I want her.

I know she’s hiding something.
But so am I.

Release Day → January 12th, 2015

Pam Godwin’s new contemporary romance, Dirty Ties is an exciting side of the author that I fully enjoyed.  I will read anything Ms. Godwin rights because she has a command of the English language, even without whips and chains.  There is a scene in the beginning of Dirty Ties, where Evader is racing in an underground motorcycle race.  I swear I was leaning in my chair, and steering my iPad!  So, we should skip talking about the sex scenes…

Moving on, this story is thrilling with elements of mystery.  It also has strong characters.  Godwin always brings her characters to life quickly, giving them strongly defined, interesting personalities.  We have Kaci Baskel, the heroine who is married to her best friend Collin Anderson.  Their parents have forced them into marriage by blackmail, for political reasons.  It wouldn’t be so bad because they love each other.  However, Collin is gay, and his parents have forced him to keep it a secret.  Kaci longs to be free.  She is desperately lonely and wants to be in love. She abhors being controlled by her corrupt parents and in-laws, but will do anything to protect her husband.  He has been her best friend since childhood.

“While my own marriage was forged in deception, the heart of it resided in a deep friendship, nurtured by our families since birth.”
Kaci rides a silver Ducati to the illegal street races through Chicago’s underground circuit.  She loves riding and has become fascinated with the undefeated and sexy as hell, Evader, who is also Logan Flynt.  Neither of them know each other’s faces under their helmets, but he is the focus of her fantasies.  Before a race, Kaci decides she is going to meet Evader-- that she will make it happen.

“For years, I’d stood alone, toe-to-toe against powerful men.  How I wished to have an invincible man on my side.”

“...the man was a fearless, panty-soaking badass in black leather.”

I think Kaci falls hard for Evader because he represents everything she can’t have.  She can’t see his face under his helmet.  No one ever has, but she is so drawn to him.  Although this is frightening, he represents all that she can’t have… at least not yet.  Not until she gets out from under Trent Anderson, her nefarious father in law and the rest of their degenerate family.  When she takes position as CEO of Trenchant Media, the company she has devoted her life to, she will change everything-- from bad to good.

“I didn’t have a man’s arms around me while I slept.  Didn’t have a warm body to curl into, one that shared my bed and protected me from the things I couldn’t fight alone.”

Logan, our Evader and his cohort and “nerdacious half” Benny, a girl he went to MIT with, work together to avenge the death of Logan’s mother.  Maura Flynt was a Hollywood stunt driver, a daredevil with a career compared to Evel Knievel.  She was even inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame.  When he was thirteen years old, her murder was ordered by Trent Anderson.

“My heart thundered, my hands slick with sweat in the gloves as I surged to the finish line, fueled by memories of my mother.  Growing up on the back of her motorcycle.  Her patient instruction as she taught me how to ride my first sportbike.”

“My mother taught me how to ride, how to win, and when she died in a river of her blood, she taught me how to hate.”

Does our Evader evolve past his murderous need to revenge his mother’s death, and does Kaci find love?  Is Collin tied in to his family’s dirty dealings?  We are told many things upfront.  It is how the story unfolds that is exciting, sexy and engaging.  I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

He knelt over my attacker, his strength visible in the stretch of the jacket over his back and shoulders. His helmet cocked, angled in my direction. “I had this.”
Oh my God, his voice. Okay, it was definitely synthesized, his timbre humming with an electronic overlay, but it was deep and gravelly and so goddamned sexy.
Pull yourself together, Kaci. He was far more dangerous than the man who just attacked me.
“Get out of here.” I nodded to the street behind me, and as if on cue, another squad car zoomed by. “I’ll hold him until you’re gone.”
What was I saying? I didn’t want him to leave.
I thought I heard a chuckle, but couldn’t be sure with the whine of sirens and exhaust pipes. He looked back at my attacker, swung an arm, and knocked him out. Damn. Okay, that worked too.
I lowered the gun. “You won the race?”
“Of course.” He rose and erased the distance between us in three strides.
My nerves shivered, overloaded and amped up, and oh God, he was just standing there, heating the air around me, staring at me. What did he want? I opened my mouth to spew a gushing thank you.
He snatched the gun from my hand.
What the? “Give that ba—”
He lifted my chin and stroked a gloved finger over the nicks on my throat. Each caress irritated the cuts, but I didn’t want him to stop. He raised the finger in front of my visor, blood soaking the leather tip. “Have you learned your lesson?”
His voice reverberated through me, and my knees weakened. Even with the electronic distortion, he sounded pissed.
My heart panted, and a throb swelled, hot and needy, between my legs. All because of a pissed-off synthesized voice? I might’ve just swallowed my self-respect, but I couldn't help it. My body had one mission, and that mission vibrated against me like he wanted to tear me in half. Damn me to hell, but my inner muscles clenched at the thought.
I touched my throat and flinched at the bite of pain. “It’s just a scratch.”
The reflection of my helmet in his visor wavered as he shook his head. He gazed down on me as if he were…considering something? God, I wished I could see his face, his eyes.
His finger returned to my throat, trailed a path beneath my chin, lifting it and catching on the edge of the helmet. He tugged it, like he wanted to rip off the shield and see my eyes, too. “Get on your bike, sweetheart.”
He flicked the safety on the gun and gripped my shoulders, turning my body to face the bike. Both bikes. His and mine side-by-side. Oh, how I loved the sight of that.
His fingers touched my hip, slipping beneath my jacket to stroke my bare skin. I trembled against the brush of his glove, until he opened his mouth. “This is your last race.”
The temperature in my helmet rose by ten degrees, and my cheeks inflamed. I glared at him over my shoulder. “Excuse me?”
Smack. A stinging jolt of fire rippled over my ass, and I shuffled forward. He fucking hit me! I placed my hands on the bike’s seat, and unbidden, a grin took hold of my face. He fucking spanked me.

Crush - JC Emery

Young love is always perfect. Until it's not.

Cheyenne Grady is a total daddy's girl to her bad-ass father, the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club. She's funny, and kind, and she just wants that deep, earth-shattering love like her dad has with her school secretary, Holly. But Cheyenne's been looking in the wrong direction, because the only good that can come from the way she looks at Jeremy Whelan is a lesson in heartbreak.

Jeremy always wanted to prospect for the Forsaken Motorcycle Club and wear the same patch as his father. When a life-long dream becomes reality, Jeremy realizes that the outlaw lifestyle is not for the faint of heart. Nor is it easy on relationships. He wants to be a good man, but temptation is everywhere.

Cheyenne is beautiful, and strong, and exactly what Jeremy could have forever. As long as he doesn't screw it up.

Love is never more powerful than the first time.

If you like motorcycle club books, you will like the Bayonet Scars series. Unlike other books you will want to start with the first book RIDE, THRASH and REV before you read CRUSH.
J.C. Emery did such a great job with connecting these books together. Crush is part of the story about Cheyenne aka Miss Priss to the club and Jeremy aka Baby Boy.

Cheyenne’s father is Grady Sergeant of Arms in the club. She is a teenager who skips class and will try to get away with what she can as long as she does not get caught. A new counselor takes an interest in her school life, which leads her into going to Cheyenne’s home to have her fatter sign some papers. Cheyenne is growing up, she hates being treated like a little girl, and her dad is trying to keep her. She is starting to like boy’s one in particular she is crushing on Jeremy. Growing up in the club she knows to get any information you have to sneak around and listen. Club business stays in the club but she is on a mission to find out information. This gets her into different messes she also learns things she does not want to know. She also learns the hard way sneaking around listening to conversations can put you in danger. Find out what information she learns that she ends up in the middle of one big dangerous problem.

Jeremy wants to prospect for the club so one day he can be Forsaken but he is too young. He does a huge thing for the club which helps him become the youngest prospect. He also grew up in the club with his father being a member of even as he sits in prison. His sister is the Old Lady to a member. Who teaches Jeremy how to be a real man he should be. Things are changing in his life so fast he is enjoying so of it and confused about the rest. He is crushing on Cheyenne also but relationships are not on his mind. He wants to be around her and acts like he does not when he is. She is mouthy and he can not let her disrespect him in front of the club. Finally they make the decision to be together. Is it too late with all the danger around the club, with her putting herself smack in the middle of the biggest problem the club has?

Cheyenne and Jeremy are a good couple; each one of them loves the other but is it enough for their relationship last when he has to let her go?

Crush is a great book, I am glad of had the privilege to read it and the first three before it. With everyone having their personal problems and still dealing with the clubs big problem you really have to live in the book, I spent the last week or so reading all these books. Not only do I recommend you read Crush, I recommend you read the whole series. That is my opinion.

My girl blushes before stumbling over her words as she asks, "Do you want kids?"
I stop breathing, stop moving-- even doing the pat-bounce-- and don't know what to say to that. Heard it from a couple of the brothers before. Don't ever mention marriage to a chick unless you're ready to have kids because that's all she can see in her future. Probably should have listened to that shit before opening my mouth.
"I want to be a mom," she says. Fuck. I still can't move and Robin's starting to scream again.
She's greedy with the pat-bounce, so I force myself to make my hand move. It barely calms her.
"Not now, but someday," she clarifies.
"Eh, why not," I say like it's no big deal. "I'll be a fucking pro at this shit by the time I'm thirty."
"Thirty is probably young enough to have kids," she says through a yawn. And I swear, my fucking heart starts beating again and I relax my arms around Robin. "Let me try again," she says and reaches for her. I hand her over, hoping Chey's better with her this time because that crying has got to fucking go. When she cradles Robin against her chest, she moves her around a bit before settling in and doing the pat-bounce. Robin is still crying but it's nothing like before.
"There you go," I say and smile at her.
"I can't believe my mom didn't stick around for this," she mumbles. She doesn't talk about her mom, but for some reason she is right now. I don't got shit to say because my mom didn't stick around either. It's not like I have anything encouraging to say. "Nic's probably going to remember every single thing about her daughter from her favorite color to her worst nightmare."
"Yeah, I give her shit, but Nic's like a fucking grizzly about the kid. She's a good mom."
"I'm glad Robin has that," she says and I agree.
"Me too," I say.

Ride :

Death comes in Armani. Salvation comes in leather.

Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has laid out for her, she makes a choice she can't take back, changing the entire trajectory of her life.

Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits. Ryan Stone can be her friend, but he’s forbidden to be her lover.

Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross.

Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden.

Thrash:

Loneliness suffocates the heart. Acceptance breaks down walls.

As a Lost Girl to the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, Nicole Whelan knows how to party. She’s not cut-out for relationships and her life is way too complicated for anything more than casual encounters. But one night when she falls into Duke’s bed at the clubhouse, he sees something in her that he can’t let go of—no matter how many times she tries to run.

Having been left to raise her teenage brother, Jeremy, she’s already got her hands full and isn’t looking for anymore complications. But Duke’s just watched his best friend fall for the only girl he couldn’t have, and then almost lose her so shortly after, shaking him to his core. Faced with his own loneliness, he’s more determined than ever to break down Nic’s walls and show her that he can be good for her; but he’s got a bad track record and she’s got a bad temper. Changing his ways isn’t easy when he’s not sure what he’s even changing for.

The violence and turmoil are at an all-time high, and Forsaken is in a vulnerable place when a twist of fate breathes new life into the club. It’s a much-needed beacon of hope for the embattled biker family, even if everyone’s not exactly on board. With Duke and Nic’s relationship already on shaky ground, and something even more important at stake, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club will fight like hell to keep their family together and whole.

Love is never more precious than when it’s new.

REV :

With the looming threat from the Mancuso Crime Family, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is preparing for a war that could destroy them. Grady, the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms, knows that love makes you weak, and he has zero interest in adding to his liabilities– especially now. He’s already got his teenage daughter who keeps him on his toes and a beef within the club that could fracture his relationship with a fellow brother for good.

For Holly Mercer, her life is finally getting on track and the last thing she wants is trouble from her hometown’s resident outlaws. Keeping her nose clean is easier said than done, when suddenly she finds herself embroiled in club business. Holly might like the idea of being with a real-life bad boy, but even being in the same room with tough-as-nails Grady flusters her.

When Holly inadvertently finds herself on Mancuso’s radar, she has two choices: trust that Grady will protect her, or continue to refuse the club’s help. Both roads are dangerous, but only one has the chance to damage her beyond repair.

Love is never more dangerous than when it can destroy you.

UNTOUCHED - Lauren Hawkeye

untouched

New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author Lauren Hawkeye serves up a captivating story of loss, self-discovery, and deep-seated desire.

Some secrets are best left locked away in the past….

Alexa Kendrick has no recollection of the car accident that left her scarred and sent her life careening wildly off course. When the half-sister she thought she’d never meet shows up at her door with an invitation to a new life, Alexa finds herself in Florence, Arizona, a town notorious for being populated with more prison inmates than actual citizens…a town that has done its best to hide its own dark secret.

After Ellie is called out of town, she leaves her sister with the keys to her flower shop and Alexa finds herself swapping lives with her sibling: running Ellie’s business, living in the house left to them both by their absentee father…and forging a smoldering relationship with sexy-as-sin penitentiary officer, Nate Fury—a man with his own demons.

But arranging flowers by day and tangling with the only man who has ever seen her real self by night isn’t enough to silence the mysterious panic that fuels Alexa’s dark dreams. When Nate brings home a book written by an inmate, one describing an unspeakable crime, the shackles binding Alexa’s own lost memories begin to shatter. And as the devastating truth comes to light, she realizes that Nate holds the key to unlocking her past, as well as her heart.

Add it to your Goodreads list here!

I've been thinking about a way to write this review without giving away any spoilers. Truth is, there is so much twists and turns throughout this book that it isn't exactly easy.

Alexa is an artist with some success. After being in an accident Alexa is left with some memory loss and an inability to paint. Working a waitressing job to keep her busy and infuriate her mother Alexa spends her days wondering who she was.

Deciding to spend a few days with her sister in Florence, Airizona, the infamous prison town with 9 prisons. When she gets there Ellie, her sister, has to leave town for an emergency leaving Alexa to watch her flower shop and stay in the apartment upstairs left to them by their late grandmother.

Ons her first day in Florence she goes to a diner and see a man sitting there and without thinking about it she draws his profile on a serviette. Nate, beautiful Nate.  He was exactly what she needed. But Nate also had his own demons to work through.

After some exploring in the apartment Alexa found some evidence about her sister and enlist Nate's help. Slowly the secrets are revealed and Alexa is better off not knowing some things.

Job well done Ms Hawkeye, I didn't see any of it coming.

Lauren Hawkeye/ Lauren Jameson never imagined that she’d wind up telling stories for a living… though when she looks back, it’s easy to see that she’s the only one who is surprised. Always “the kid who read all the time”, Lauren made up stories about her favorite characters once she’d finished a book… and once spent an entire year narrating her own life internally. No, really. But where she was just plain odd before publication, now she can at least claim to have an artistic temperament.

Lauren lives in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada with her husband, toddler, pit bull and idiot cat, though they do not live in an igloo, nor do they drive a dogsled. In her nonexistent spare time Lauren can be found knitting (her husband claims that her snobby yarn collection is exorbitant), reading anything she can get her hands on, or sweating her way through spin class. She loves to hear from her readers!

SEDUCING THE PRINCESS - Diane Alberts

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

He'll give her exactly what she needs…

Protecting a princess is not what former marine Gordon Waybrook signed up for when he joined the Shillings Agency. But instead of the spoiled, regal little creature he expects, Isabelle VanGuard is a fiery, sexy-as hell woman who's been denied what she needs for too long. And he's just the man to break through her frozen public facade and give it to her.

When she's with Gordon, all Isabelle can think about is pleasure. Their blistering chemistry is immediate and intense, but volatile. In fact, the only thing they agree on is that their one night together is just that—one night. Even after it becomes more. But tempers and temptation can't disguise reality. Isabelle is a princess, and a hot, hard, and tattooed bodyguard isn't the Prince Charming her country expects…even if he's exactly what she needs.

This was the perfect Sunday afternoon read for me.

Princess Isabella goes to America to meet her intended, George, who incidentally reminded me of those grimy slime hand-toys kids use to slap against the walls. In my opinion of course.

Her 'people' hire the Shillings Agency to protect her on her American visit. The hero in this book Gordon who works for Shillings,  gets assigned to her. He obviously takes his job serious as he guarded her body with expert precision.

Gordon is an ex marine, inked up, dirty talking no nonsense guy. He makes up his mind before meeting Isabella about her and it was incredibly fun to watch him discover that he was very wrong. I can honestly say that I liked everything about this book.

This is the first book I've read from Diane Alberts, so I need to rectify that immediately. It had the right amount of humor and romance and it worked in a big way.

Right, I'm off to see about turning myself into a princess. I can do with some Gordon in my life. If only my dad owned a country it would be a lot easier, but I digress, he wanted to be a mechanic.
