Unfortunately, Brenna didn't have the chance to tell it to Dragon. In the early morning, before leaving, she would have told him but her dad arrived and she had to run away.

Five year passed, Dragon never saw that girl again, the only one who could create a future with, a family. She vanished, so he just keeps going on with his life until the day she comes back. He watches her climbing off her car and searching for someone eyes, Poet's ( The Vice President ). She's not the same: she's weak, physically hurt so much she faint in Poet's arms. Wait a minute, how did she call him? Pop??? and who's the baby girl in her car??? she's kind of look familiar.....she looks like.....Dragon!!

Ammetto di averne parlato molto di questa scrittrice ultimamente, ma che ci posso fare se l'adoro incredibilmente e non sono mai stanca delle sue storie e dei suoi meravigliosi personaggi??? 

Lo stile di questa autrice molto fluido e l'inglese accessibile, quindi non c'è opportunità migliore per incominciare la vostra avventura nel leggere un libro in lingua originale!! Anche se fa parte di una serie più che avviata, potete benissimo iniziarla da questo romanzo. Una delle tante ottime qualità di KA, è saper fare un riassunto esaustivo delle "puntate precedenti" quando pubblica un nuovo libro, senza ripetizioni inutili e spreco di parole per un riepilogo lungo e tedioso. In questo modo, una lettrice che si imbatte in  lei per la prima volta e non vuole iniziare per forza la serie dal primo capitolo può benissimo leggere in ordine sparso o dalla copertina che l'attira di più o approfittare di un libro in offerta speciale ;-) 

A differenza degli altri romanzi della Colorado Mountain Series, in questa storia non troverete action scenes adrenalinici. Credo sia proprio da Jagged che la scrittrice ha intrapreso una strada diversa, cioè quella di lasciare da parte l'azione e concentrarsi su i rapporti umani, le loro relazioni, cosa gli spinge a comportarsi in un particolare modo e le conseguenze che questo comporta. Non tutte hanno gradito il cambio di rotta, ma io non sono tra quelle, ogni sua nuova pubblicazione è speciale proprio perché è caratterizzato da qualcosa di nuovo. A voi il giudizio!!

Se questa è la prima volta che visitate il mio blog, sappiate che vi informerò sempre se ci sono delle super occasioni per acquistare dei buoni libri ( non solo della KA, promesso!! ) quindi restate in zona ;-)

Motorcycle Man - # 4 Dream Man Series - Kristen Ashley

Tyra ha deciso di rischiare grosso cambiando stile di vita e un lavoro che la rendeva infelice. Vuole di più per se stessa e soprattutto vuole il suo Dream Man. Il nuovo impiego è office manager in un negozio di vendita e riparazioni di moto. Non è molto esperta del settore ma ha voluto rischiare ed è pronta a tutto! Per festeggiare, trascorre la serata con amici in un bar per motociclisti, si stava divertendo quando i suoi occhi incrociano quelli di un biker mozzafiato con pizzetto, tatuaggi a vista e capelli sale e pepe. Era lì davanti ai suoi occhi, finalmente aveva incontrato l'uomo dei sogni. Lui si avvicina e dopo una piacevole conversazione, buttando giù shots di tequila, questo uomo ha il totale controllo sulla sua volontà e non può altro che acconsentire quando le chiede di andare via insieme.

Trascorsa la notte al suo fianco, Tyra è certa di aver fatto la cosa giusta .....quando Tack le chiede non proprio diplomaticamente di sloggiare!!! 

Stupefatta e amareggiata di aver preso un granchio colossale, il mattino seguente si dirige verso il suo nuovo posto di lavoro. Rimane senza parole quando scopre che il nuovo capo è l'uomo che le aveva dato una gioia immensa un momento e spezzato il cuore quello dopo. Tack non lavora con donne che ha conosciuto "intimamente" e le dice di girare i tacchi e tornare a casa. Tyra ha bisogno di lavorare e non si lascerà di certo trattare in questo modo...non più almeno...tira fuori il suo caratterino e gli fa capire che quello che è capitato tra di loro è acqua sotto i ponti e non succederà una seconda volta, la loro relazione sarà esclusivamente professionale. 
“I will not blush, act like an idiot or a shrew. I will be professional. This is a job. Only a job. He’s my boss. He’s a handsome one but a jerky one and I slept with him, but he’s just my boss. Tack, che sa apprezzare quando una donna tira fuori le unghie, decide di assumerla.  Rimane piacevolmente colpito dalla sua vivacità e dalle sue forme. Quello che sembrava essere solo un rapporto di lavoro diventa difficile da controllare e Tack, che ottiene sempre quello che vuole, dovrà rimboccarsi le maniche per conquistare la fiducia di Tyra.

Mara è una donna indipendente che ha combattuto per costruirsi una vita soddisfacente, lavora sodo, ha affittato un appartamento in una raffinata zona residenziale a Denver. I colleghi e il suo capo sono molto disponibili e i vicini sono diventati i suoi amici, con i quali si organizzano feste e cocktail party.  Si considera una donna felice. Il suo carattere timido e riservato non le ha impedito di fare amicizia con i vicini, tutti tranne uno. Il detective Mitch Lawson è attraente, sexy, forte e cambia fidanzata troppo spesso, quindi totalmente irraggiungibile. Purtroppo questo non le ha impedito di innamorarsi di lui al primo sguardo!! 

“He started walking our way asking, “Now a good time?” No, no time was a good time for the Ten Point Five I was secretly in love with to be in my apartment.” 

Quando il rubinetto si rompe e Mitch si offre di darle una mano, Mara non riesce a opporsi. Come in un sogno, può osservarlo girovagare per il suo appartamento con gli attrezzi da lavoro, ammirare il suo corpo fantastico e ascoltare la sua voce profonda e sensuale.

“He stopped at the door and turned to me. “I’ll be right back.” I nodded, and he disappeared out the door. I stood in my living area in my heels, skirt and blouse from work. A causa di un piccolo fraintendimento, Mara si nasconde dalle attenzioni che Mitch ha iniziato a riservarle, inoltre viene nuovamente coinvolta nei problemi del cugino e questa sono volta sono così seri che la obbligano a prendere con se i suoi due bambini, Billy e Billie. Nella confusione del momento, è solo concentrata a fare la cosa giusta per questi poveri ragazzi e non si rende conto che Mitch è subentrato nella sua vita e deciso a tutti i costi a darle una mano, fa la spesa, compra dei vestitini nuovi e organizza gli orari per andarli a prendere a scuola. Lei è sicura che la generosità proviene dal cuore grande del detective, è una brava persona che aiuta una vicina in difficoltà, quando sarà tutto sistemato, proseguirà la propria vita e tanti saluti. Non può permettersi di sopravvivere ad un cuore spezzato e lasciare che i bambini gli si affezionino, così dopo una profusione di sentiti ringraziamenti, rifiuta la sua disponibilità.
Sfortunatamente per lei, i problemi con la legge del cugino sono  molto più gravi di quanto potesse immaginare il che significa avere a che fare con la polizia e quindi con Mitch. Non essendoci alternative, Mara accetta l'offerta e insieme crescono i cuginetti.  Con il passare del tempo, si sente più a suo agio insieme a lui, questo le consentirà di lasciarsi andare, permettendogli di mostrare la sua vera natura e del perché la timidezza lo ha tenuto lontano per cosi tanto tempo.

Wild Man - #2 Dream Man Series - Kristen Ashley

Tessa si è costruita una vita confortevole, nonostante sia caduta dolorosamente, è riuscita ad alzarsi e ha aperto un negozio di dolci. Può così godersi in pace il successo, l'affetto degli amici e apprezzare finalmente un pò di serenità, anche se non svanirà mai l'oscurità che si è insinuata dentro al cuore. Un giorno, un bellissimo uomo dai modi forti e contorni ruvidi, entra nel suo negozio e dopo un invito per una birra non si sono più separati. Sembrava che ci fosse una possibilità per lei di trovare l'amore e che Brock fosse quello giusto. Proprio mentre cominciava a sentirsi sicura del loro rapporto, Tessa scopre che in realtà il suo Dream Man è un agente infiltrato che sta investigando sul giro di droga dell'ex marito. Lui vuole Tess. Trascorso un periodo di tempo ragionevole per superare quanto è successo alla stazione di polizia, torna da lei per ricominciare da dove avevano interrotto.

Anche se può sembrare brusco, ha un grande cuore e soffre profondamente per quanto accaduto a Tess, è davvero motivato ad aiutarla a superare le sue inquietudini mostrandole quanto sia liberatorio "walking on the wild side."

Mystery Man - # 1 Dream Man Series - Kristen Ashley

Avete presente il colpo di fulmine? Si può dire che Gwen è rimasta "folgorata" da questo uomo muscoloso e sfrontato che ha solo bisogno di avvicinarsi a lei, senza nemmeno presentarsi, per scioglierla come un gelato al sole e farle trascorrere la più bella notte di passione della sua vita.

Per più di un anno e mezzo, Gwen e il suo Mystery Man hanno intrapreso un'insolita relazione di incontri notturni, dove la conversazione è alquanto limitata ma l'amore incendiario!! Nonostante Gwen sia consapevole della pazzia delle sue azioni, è più forte di lei tanto da non poterlo mandare via, dentro di se è certa che il suo MM sia l'uomo dei suoi sogni.  

Oltre ad una vita sessuale soddisfacente, seppur discutibile, la vita di Gwen è tutt'altro che tranquilla, un matrimonio fallito da superare, una famiglia vivace ma invadente e Ginger, la sorella combinaguai. Quando le fa visita e accenna i suoi problemini illegali, la sorella maggiore che è in lei prende il sopravvento e decide di fare un'indagine per conto suo. Così facendo diventa erroneamente il nuovo bersaglio della malavita di Denver e sarà proprio i questa circostanza che il suo Mystery Man si presenterà a lei, come Cabe Hawk Delgado, comandante di un'organizzazione paramilitare specializzata in sicurezza e operazioni di salvataggio. Gli amanti notturni hanno l'opportunità di conoscersi finalmente alla luce del sole e, mentre Hawk apprezza il caratterino vivace di Gwen, lei non è altrettanto entusiasta del suo essere predominate e protettivo.

I'm not a big fan for eight-pack abdominal cover book , in fact it waited a while in my kindle. Recently I gave it a chance and I read it all in about two days, it's a short novel. Amazon / Smashwords
This is a typical kind of romance:

ex-marine alpha man - very sculputed body - amazing in bed - sweet and caring but possessive and rough

“Get over here and give your man some love.” 

The main characters are Axel ( how cool is this name??) and Izzy.

They were high school sweethearts, young and naive but they wanted to spend their future together. Then....life happended and they spent 12 years apart in anger and pain. Izzy was so lonely she married an abusive man, Axel felt betrayed and heartbroken convinced she abandoned him. Fate decided to let them meet again and give another chance to live the life they dreamed so much.

Even this is a cheesy romance, serious topic as Izzy's abuse is treated with intelligence.
She's a broken woman who accepts to live her life without true love and an everlasting hole in her heart. She has some really good friends though who want to help her and when she starts moving on, her husband doesn't want to let her go and a man she thought was dead appears in front of her.

Axel, a foster kid, chose a marine career in order to give Izzy and their future family all that would be needed. When he came back home Izzy has disappeared. He searched for her everywhere but then he convinced himself that she was not patient enough to wait for him.

When they meet again, they are not the same people they remembered. She's lost and scared, he's way more bigger and possessive.

“Process? What the hell is there to process? Where are you, Izzy? Not asking you again, and I am not fucking doing this text message shit like a goddamn prepubescent little shit.” 

Izzy needs some time to adjust having him in her life again but when she lets him in, hope and a stronger love she ever knew overwhelms her.

“Not one day went by Izzy that my heart didn’t belong to you. To this day there has only been one woman that has and will ever hold it. Fuck, baby but the love I have for you is so fucking strong sometimes, I wonder if it will crush me.” 

This is the first book of the Corps Security Series. During the story every characters we meet, Axel's collegues, have their overture which means there will be a lot of more novels to read! Some of them are already published!!! When the writer keeps the story interesting I don't mind to wait for another book. Need to be worth it though ;-) As I said before, this kind of romance setting is too common for my taste but it was a nice read, not oh-my-god-this-book-is-so-good kind of satisfaction but it is well written in an extra easy english, I am very sure to recommend it to all of you.

There's a pleasant note from the author at the very beginning of the novel, it might be nice to read it because it will give you an idea how the writer inteded to address this book. You also find a complete playlist to listen during the reading!!!

Lovelines - S. Walden

Il 25 Marzo 2014 è finalmente uscito il nuovo libro di una delle mie scrittrici preferite : Lovelines di S. Walden!!! Non ho ancora avuto modo di leggerlo quindi non posso farne una recensione accurata ma ve lo consiglio ad occhi chiusi!! Scrive in un inglese semplice (potete constatarlo voi stesse dagli estratti del libro gentilmente forniti dalla autrice!) quindi si presta a ogni tipo di lettrice.In questa storia d'amore si parla di un argomento molto delicato e sfortunatamente molto comune tra le persone OCD ( obsessive-compulsive disorder ), è stato affrontato con cura e delicatezza dalla scrittrice. Ha pubblicato un  Post sul suo blog molto interessate che vi invito a leggere, vi darà un'idea con quanta serietà lavori questa autrice.

Ecco un pò di teasers per prepararci a quello che sarà la lettura di questo romanzo!! Io personalmente non vedo l'ora di immergermi in questo nuovo capolavoro!!!!

Si tratta di un libro molto divertente la cui storia d'amore ha un contesto un pò diverso dal solito ma sempre suggestivo per noi inguaribile romantiche figlie degli anni 80 dove il rock e roll aveva un fascino irresistibile! Dal punto di vista dell'inglese, non ritengo sia una sfida per le principianti,  la trama è molto semplice , i dialoghi rendono la lettura scorrevole. Accessibile a tutte !

Evelyn Thomas, è una ragazza a modo, studiosa e composta. Non era però preparata alla situazione che le si presentava davanti il mattino dopo la sbronza colossale a Las Vegas. Per il suo 21esimo compleanno, insieme alla sua amica Lauren, avevano deciso di evadere e lasciarsi andare. Missione compiuta!

Evelyn si sveglia in una stanza d'albergo, che non ricorda di aver prenotato, sul pavimento del bagno, ma non sa come ci sia arrivata, di fianco ad un super sexy ragazzo senza maglietta ricoperto di tatuaggi, che non ha mai visto prima, con un gigantesco diamante al dito di cui non ha assolutamente idea come ne è entrata in possesso.....

Era la canzone che mi suonava nella mente mentre leggevo questo libro! Hearts in Darkness di Laura Kaye è un libro che appartiene ad un genere di profondo romance che sfocia leggermente nell'erotica,l'inglese è semplice quindi si tratta di una lettura facile facile!!!!

Analizziamo un momento il titolo: letteralmente significa cuori nell'oscurità. La storia si svolge, per buona parte del romanzo, dentro un ascensore. Makenna ha terminato la sua giornata di lavoro e sta freneticamente entrando in ascensore non guardando dove sta andando o chi le sta intorno, i suoi occhi sono fissi sul cellulare. Alza distrattamente lo sguardo e ha solo una frazione di secondo per rendersi conto che non è da sola mentre le luci si spengono e l'ascensore si blocca.

La trama è abbastanza coinvolgente, il livello di difficoltà dell'inglese è basso, personalmente non l'ho trovato molto scorrevole ma il libro è breve quindi non risulta pesante. Ammetto di averlo letto di fretta e non sono stata molto presa dalla storia ma tutto sommato l'ho trovato sufficientemente gradevole. Considerando l'offerta, lo consiglio !!!

11.00 pm, I was in bed reading, almost at the end of the book, my husband next to me watching tv. I was very relaxed because I was getting how the book would end....then I finished it. In that moment I was rushing out of the bed saying very loud, and very inappropriate considering how late it was, " what the f**k??" my hubby looked at me like I was crazy so I told him all about this book!!! Poor guy...he listened but he did give it a damn...he's the sweetest!

That was a warning about this author!! when you think is all predictable...she changes it all!! she's amazing that's why she's in my top 5 !!!

This is a vague idea of Twitch's personality!!! He obviously has some major issuses. His life was so brutal it changed him completely but he found his way and very proud of it. He feels he misses something and mistakes it with vengence. His vicious anger makes him take some really bad decisions. In the end he only wants to be loved for what he is, don't we all??

This is an erotic/romace novel. Please don't mistake it for a cheesy chick flick story - boy meets girl,they fall in love and do it a loooot everywhere in every position, declaring how crazy are about each other!

Sex is present....very present....some like it hot or sweet or rough or kinky....we are not born with tastes, we find them during that trip called life and it could be we find  we like it very kinky!!!!!

L'età della crescita non perdona e tanto meno i propri coetanei...soprattutto se sono maschi e magari super carini e circondati sempre da belle ragazze, ogni giorno una diversa. Peggio ancora se si viene avvicinati da un ragazzo simile ed è lui stesso a chiedere di stare al suo gioco e chiacchierare perché così facendo le amiche carine saranno commosse dal suo "pietoso" gesto di parlare con la bruttina o per meglio dire THE DUFF. Nel dettaglio, sarebbe la ragazza meno attraente di tutti, che i maschi considerano per ultima ( se si accorgono di lei ) e che rimane in disparte mentre le altre si divertono a ballare nei locali.

Non posso nemmeno immaginare l'umiliazione di sentirsi chiamare cosi ma è quello che succede in questo libro a Bianca Piper dal "womanizer"  Wesley Rush. Siccome la nostra protagonista ha un carattere tosto, la sua reazione è quella di rovesciargli addosso un bicchere di Cherry Coke lasciandolo così a bocca aperta

“You're a disgusting, shallow, womanizing jackass, and I hope that soda stains your preppy little shirt." Just before I marched away, I looked over my shoulder and added, "And my name isn't Duffy. it's Bianca. we've been in the same homeroom since middle school, you selfabsorbed son of a bitch.” ( un applauso per Bianca!!). First of all, I want to thank Mrs Amelia Hitchins and  "For the love of books" girls who provided me my ARC ( advance review copy ), they have been very nice to me and this is a great honor.
I seriously loved this book!!! This series is amazing and cherished very much all of it. do you need to refresh your memory? here's the link for the first and second book .
The author confirms her ability to surprise me keeping this story intriguing and exciting. I really don't want spoiler anything here...so I just write that for Syn and Ryder things are getting a little bit more complicated!!! Some secrets are discovered but some shadows still remain. when everything seems settled for them to start living their life together, growing a relationship, exploring what they feel for each other...some accidents happen and drift them apart. This is not an easy journey for them, suffer and pain are always to be found but this is a strong couple, they match and they have the same goals and want to fight together.
Syn is a warrion princess, she fights and loves with every cell of her body and heart, she beared a lot of troubles, her life changed suddenly and she's trying very hard to adjust. She wants to do the right thing but not sacrifice her heart. Her funny spirit never falter though!!
Ryder is an awesome male alpha character, at first sight he may seem shallow and selfish but he fights for what is important for him and Faery...his methods are peculiar but he get results, his army respect him and he knows his people depend on him. Big applause for the sex scenes!!! damn, this author knows what she's doing ;-)
